Wedding photojournalism is all about taking photographs of what happens, reacting to events not staging them. This is the basis of my style. However, whilst some photojournalists refuse to pose any shots I never forget that it is your day and there are bound to be some pictures you really want. There is always a need for some formal shots although they are best kept to a minimum. There will probably be other times during the day when I will direct my subjects to get the pictures I want. I will always bear in mind the finished album as I work, some pictures will give me design ideas and suggest other photographs.
