Jen is a self-taught jewellery designer who has been creating jewellery for 18 years. At first for family and friends but since November 2006 via her new website Braceletsnbrides. As this is purely a hobby that has grown all by itself into a cottage industry Jen can afford to offer you remarkable jewellery at very affordable prices.
Jewellery design is a hobby and much of Jen's time is spent planning and designing unique pieces that you will not find available from any other designer. In addition Jen spends hours scouring with globe for beautiful beads and findings. A necklace bought from bracelets and brides will probably include beads and findings from the UK, but also Paris, the USA, Germany and Belgium!
All of the jewellery on braceletsnbrides is handmade by Jen. She is attracted to small beads the smaller the better. Using different grades of wire turns these simple forms into extraordinary creations.
Like most artists she prefer to work with quality metal's, cultured pearls and semi precious stones. Its the feel of these materials when working with them, as well as the final look, that she really appreciates.
A tailor once said that a good suit wasn't just about the skill of the cutter, but also the quality of the cloth and experience of the seamstress, so it is with jewellery design.
